Cancellation & Interruption
Insurance
|
|
Protects you from
over 40 specified risks that can
cause you to cancel, interrupt or
delay the return from your trip. It
covers the non-refundable portion of
prepaid travel arrangements and
costs associated with an early or
delayed return, such as return
airfare, essential phone calls and
hotel costs. This coverage must be
purchased at the time of initial
trip deposit.

Flight Accident Insurance
|
|
Provides coverage for
death, dismemberment, loss of sight
in both eyes or complete and
irrecoverable loss of speech or
hearing. It covers you while on
airport premises, travelling on
scheduled helicopter shuttles, and
in airport buses and limousines that
have been authorized by the carrier
or airport authority, as well as
during the scheduled flight.

Baggage & Personal Effects
Insurance

|
Provides protection
from the loss of, or damage to, the
baggage and personal effects that
you own and use during your trip,
including some of the costs for the
replacement of a lost or stolen
passport, driver's license, birth
certificate or travel visa. It also
provides reimbursement for necessary
toiletries and clothing due to
baggage delays.

Rental Car Physical Damage
Insurance

No matter where
you’re travelling, it provides up to
$50,000 in benefits for loss or
damage to a car you rent for 60
consecutive days or less.

|

Offers similar
coverage to the Deluxe Package,
however maximum sums payable are
lower. Provides Emergency Medical,
Cancellation & Interruption, Baggage

Visitors to Canada Plan

A unique plan for
friends or family members (84 years
of age and younger) coming to visit,
new immigrants waiting for their
government health insurance plan
coverage, visitors travelling on a
work permit or student visa, or
Canadians not eligible for health
plan coverage. There are three plan
options with varying benefits of
Emergency Medical Insurance and
Travel Accident Insurance: Deluxe
Visitors Plan; Visitors to Canada
Plan I; and, Visitors to Canada Plan
II.

Option 1

Have you purchased a
single trip Deluxe Package,
TravelCare® Package,
Non-Medical Package or Travel within
Canada Package, but need more
protection? You can purchase this
rider for additional benefits:

Transportation
on Same Class Ticket Benefit
This covers the transportation
benefits for the same class
transportation instead of
economy class.

Subsistence
Allowance Benefit Increase
Increases your subsistence
allowance benefit to a maximum
of $5,000 (with a daily maximum
of $500) provided under
Emergency Medical Insurance and
Cancellation & Interruption
Insurance.

Entertainment
Benefit
If delayed beyond the scheduled
return date, this insurance
covers up to $100 for
entertainment expenses to attend
a ticketed event, such as a
musical show, theatrical play or
sports game.

Special Event
Benefit
This insurance protects you if
you are planning to attend a
scheduled event such as a
wedding, sporting event or
conference, and your departure
is delayed. It will cover up to
$600 for additional
transportation costs of an
alternate route, on a scheduled
carrier, to the planned
destination so you can arrive on
time.

Increase Delay
of Baggage & Personal Effects
Benefit
Increases the maximum sums
payable under Baggage & Personal
Effects Insurance up to $750.

If you’ve purchased a
single-trip package, you can enhance
your coverage with the following
benefits:
- Cruise
cancellation (risk #35) includes
both the cancellation of and the
schedule change to your cruise
or tour. The cancellation or
schedule change does not include
supplier default.
- Cruise
cancellation benefits are
increased to pay up to $100 for
subsistence allowance and up to
$1,000 for the non-refundable
prepaid air fare, which joins to
or departs from the original
sea/land arrangements and are
not part of your cancelled
cruise or tour package.
